2ND MONTHLY GAME - 18 JANUARY 2015
We had a field of 122 players with 2 prospective players 4 guests and 1 no show. We were joined on the day by the Captain of Ruwa Country Club, Benjamin Funani and the Vice Captain, Felix Nyaruwanga. They are both Nomads. We were also joined by Martin Chigwada, the Managing Director of Ruwa Golf Resort Holdings. Thank you for joining us for the day.
The course was in great condition. Members and staff of Ruwa Golf Club, thank for the use of your facilities.
Congratulations to all the winners on some very good scores. Those that struggled with their game, please don’t worry about it, your handicaps will be good for the Zimbabwe Nationals.
We were also privileged to be joined by Jenny Pretorius and Judy Amira. To our starters on the day Greg Pozzo and Simon Rick, thank you.
To our Fines Master for the day, Your Worship the Mayor of Harare, Ben Manyenyeni, well done for a great Fines Session. Tony Muller, thank you for refurbishing the altar. Navendra Zavery thank you for laundering all our linen. Michael Monson, thank you for providing the bottled water to all players for the day. Simon Rick, thank you again for taking the photographs during prize giving.
To our Nomads Ladies who also give up their Sundays to organize our lives at Nomads – Alison Clark, Lynn Tapson, Nicky Rick and Madeline Sly – thank you once again for your valued efforts and time.

$11. SENIOR TEES
Members wanting to play off senior tees are required to apply to the Mashonaland Executive Committee for authorization to do so. Permission shall be granted to any member provided that they have reached the age of 65 and are handicapped off senior tees at their respective clubs.
According to the rules of Golf scores are required to be submitted within 72 hours of play. I am making this announcement after noting that some NOMADS are not submitting their scores to their respective clubs after the NOMADS games.

Please be advised that we will be travelling to Lusaka, Zambia for the Introductory Game as ZOMADS.
$14. MARONDERA AWAY GAME
Our first away game was at Marondera on the 1st of February 2015. We had a field of 54 Golfers, 47 being NOMADS and 7 being Marondera Golfers.
Marondera Golf Section Chairman Paul Davies and Captain Richard Guy joined us. We had a wonderful day with good camaraderie around the course and the meals prepared by their ladiesl. Our donation of $1,100.00 was greatly appreciated by Marondera Golf Club.

Mike Garden’s Charity Day will be at Chapman Golf Club on the 27th of September 2015. Thank you all for supporting the South African Raffle.

Nomads Golf was first established in South Africa 1960. As its members were drawn from various clubs and played their regular competitions on a variety of different courses, the Nomads name seemed particularly appropriate.
