mashonalandPicNomads Golf was first established in South Africa 1960. As its members were drawn from various clubs and played their regular competitions on a variety of different courses, the Nomads name seemed particularly appropriate.

Nomads Golf Flourished in South Africa and a club was established in Zimbabwe. There are now three clubs on Zimbabwe which operate under the umbrella of the controlling Zimbabwe body.

Nomads Golf in Zimbabwe holds its National Tournament annually and has field of up to 240 players.

The Nomads Movement has also spread to Botswana, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Swaziland. Today there are close to 3000 Nomads spread around our clubs, all committed to our ideals of benefiting the game of golf and, in the process, raising substantial funding for causes that lend support for those less fortunate than ourselves.

GAME 9: NORTON COUNTRY  CLUB GAME  2015

Greetings fellow Nomads

We have passed the half way mark of the playing year so it is the start of the countdown. We had a field of 107 players with 2 prospectives, 4 guests and 1 no show at Norton Country Club. This was our smallest field this year.  Thank you all for your support and commitment.

Our sincere thanks to Raymond Munyaka who was standing in for the Captain of Norton Country Club and Lovemore Magava the Vice Captain. Members and Staff thank you for the use of your facilities, it is appreciated by all of us at Nomads.  The course was not in its best condition, a number of Nomads found it challenging, especially the greens. Mashonaland Nomads would like to welcome Trevor Bell who joins us from Natal Nomads. Below is the average score per division for the day.   We had one 40 pointer for the day, well done Kenias Mafukidze.
